Williams has NO long term contract, and Andy Petite is no longer with the Yankees. He has been with the Astros for two seasons. Where have you been?
AND, don't say the Yankees have developed their own players. Steinbrenner has bought Damon, Rodrigues, Johnson (Randy) and several others no longer with the team like Clemens. Most of the Yankee success has been in the distant past, so Sox fans have nothing to be jealous about the Yankees.
Hope this helps clear up your confusion.

Yes, they are. That's why they're always carrying on about 2004, Woo Hoo! They won the World Series!
What about 1923, 1927, 1928, 1932, 1936, 1937, 1938, 1939, 1941, 1943, 1947, 1949-1953, 1956, 1958, 1961, 1962, and so on? Oh, the Red Sox were LOSING all those years. How sad.
Yup, I can see why they think their team is better. And by the way, for all of the wins before 1977, Steinbrenners big wallet was not a factor.

Alex Rodriguez, Jason Giambi, Garry Sheffield, Randy Johnson....I can go on and on.
The best shortstop isn't even playing shortstop on the team becasue the Yankees have an All-Star team that has still failed to win a championship. I'm a White Sox fan but I understand where the Red Sox are coming from...they are not jealous...they are just upset that they couldn't capitialize on their opportunities. 1986 and especially 2003. When the Sox lost to the Yankees that year it was a shame because they had the better team, they just left Pedro in too long.

Maybe, but the only reason the yankees and red sox are rivals is cause boston traded ruth to the yanks and babe was really good in NY but not in boston so they just got really mad and then the sox didnt win the world series until now because of the curse of the bambino.

Where do you get your information? Jealous? Of what? We have a team, men who enjoy the game and not a bunch of over-paid primadonnas. I also don't know a single Sox fan that was alive 100 years ago, let alone saw Babe Ruth play. Did you know that Damon's book had to be re-edited because of the @#$# he had to say about Jeter. Money changes the truth I guess. Also, Yankee fans need to find the "check spelling" icon and learn how to use it.

Nobody is jealous of the Yankees. Only ultra-arrogant wacked in the head Yankees fans would think that anyone is actually jealous of the Yankees. As a Cardinals fan, I really don't give a rat's a*s what the Yankees have done. Really, I think baseball would be better off if they didn't exist at all, except that's where all the overpaid geriatrics go.

Red Sox fans aren't jealous. We have a pure hatred for the Yankees. We hate "The Boss" we're not jealous of him, We hate Torre, not jelous. We hate A-ROD, but so do Yankee fans.
The only worthy yankees was Mattingly.
