You might check out the name of a famous figure, Walter Slezak. I think you'll find he's as close as you get.

The KNIGHTS of the Round Table never had anyone in, around, or associated with them in any of the various original versions of the tale whose name was "Slezak." If they had, some of us might actually believe these guys had been real.

So far as all historians have been able to learn so far, however, is that King Arthur, and his Knights, are mythological.
