Never, local news is always either depressing (crimes, etc), or stupid (human interest stories).
I read and watch all my news online. I stick with national and international news.

I may watch 30 minutes a week total of local news. It's either super depressing or just fluff stories about a cat that needs to be adopted. Even when I interned at a local news station I didn't watch it.
I read the news paper for local news and watch The Daily Show for the other stuff.

my boyfriend watches the local news cast every single day. I watch it evry now and then.
