Rock...easily. I don't need to hear about how much money someone has, how many bitches they've ******, or how many people they've shot.

Rock...rap is mostly all largely the same anymore, no one is coming up with anything truly unique and new, and if you think about it...it's not technically actual music and not technically an actual song...just an other. Maybe it needs it's own industry outside of the MUSIC industry...
P.S. As stated previously, I to believe it to be a fad. You can tell by the way it has changed and the old stuff is no longer "cool." Other music types that have changed...the older styles are still around. Rap is just demeaning junk of arrogant people who wannabe rich thugs.

I would choose rock cuz of the fact that I can understand most of it
Rap is so confusing to understand these days and I would prefer to buy a CD that I could listen to

I would choose rock. Rap is just a bunch of people talking at the same time. I never really liked it much. I respect that other people like it but I really don't.

Rock because it has infinite possibilities, and that's been demonstrated over the course of rock's history. Rap used to be the same but it's degenerated into a cespool of murder, revenge, rape, drug usage and violence. Not even good lyric quality either... every third word is f--- this or that's a load of s---..... maybe someday someone will come along and save the rap industry, but I'm not holding my breath.

I would have to say Rap, although this could start a small war, I think rap (not the degradeing stuff), is poetic in nature, and the beats are be better......now dont get me wrong I like Rock too, but it cant really be enjoyed unless its lound. At least in my opinion.
