Muhahaha! I'll get you my pretty...and your little dog too!

A lot of women are probably going to hate me for this but, I think a wife should stand behind her husband. He should wear the pants and she should be his support.

I would like to start this out by saying that despite how my views may come across here, I believe that there is hope for equality between men and women. In fact I welcome that with open arms.

Well, I do not think that women are quite equal yet. There are still some predjudices against women. However, I think there a woman is more likely to be able to degrade a man, hit a man, verbally abuse a man and get away with it than a man is. For instance, rape, irregardless of the circumstances seems to be the man's fault based on previous circumstances. When in fact, it can be the woman's fault. In the business world, it seems that while you cannot say chairman, you can say chairwoman and chairperson.

I don't think that women and men will be equal until women will share the benefits, and the consequences of being a man. Nothing will be equal until we are all truly treated the same. I never hear women complaining about getting into a party for free when men have to pay. But I can imagine them complaining if they started to have to pay. Even though it would be equal, it wouldn't be beneficial. Once women get punished equally, and men are allowed to wear skirts and makeup without being harrassed, then there will be equality. If a woman expects me to be the one to clean the gutters and fix her house, then it seems logical for me to expect her to clean the house and cook my meals.
And finally, if a woman can objectify a woman's or man's body, say he's hot, imagine him naked, etc. I should be allowed to look at a woman's or man's body the same way without being considered a pervert, creepy, or a sex obsessed chauvanist. Remember that sex is used in advertising for both sexes. It is not only half naked women on billboards, there are half naked men up there as well.

To further drive this home, go onto Wikipedia. This was just brought up in the question I saw right after answering this one.
On Wikipedia, look up sexiest man alive. You find this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sexiest_man_alive

However, try searching for "sexiest woman alive". You will find that, "No page with that title exists."

Interesting. It seems, on Wikipedia (one of the largest online encyclopedias in the world, it is more interesting to name and obsessover the sexy men in the world than the sexy women.

Who says that men gave any power to women? Men took power from women in the witch hunts, in the times they were 'owners' and women and children were their 'property', and in treating them as lesser beings for so many years. Women traditionally have been powerful, look at the Celtic traditions: the goddess rules half a year and the the god rules. Women are warriors, leaders, mothers, teachers. Come into the 21st century with us, please!

the 'power' word says it all. Now the truth is coming out about the real capabilities, skills and flair to handle the issues.
Every guy with some education 'thought' they were more than a woman.
Now it shows for some of them ,their lesser ability, then they are talking 'power'.
I think it is a total wrong concept talking about power, when women getting more and more the place they deserve based on their own performance and abilities. So, guys join in and get yourself equal, and power yourself ..

When did men give women equal power? I must have missed that. Women still receive less pay than men for the same job. The number one cause of death for women is murder.

What I want to know is why ... since there are more women than men ... why we allow abuse and inequality to continue. Why do women allow themselves to be considered "holes" first and lastly as a human being? (Holes, as in the hole in which the male anatomy fits ... holes ... insertion into that hole without thinking or caring about the woman herself)

Yes they are!
but they won't let us talk about it much longer.

We will be pressured into referring to the new age of equality even though women will be more equal than men.

Women will get 60% of equality while men will get only 40%. Meanwhile, a male spokesperson will anounce. "Women have made huge strides towards achieving equality with men, but as you can see, there is still a long way to go."

When men surrender the last position of authority,
They will have another male spokesperson announce to a cheering audience. "We have now achieved full equality!"

I don't think women are taking over. In many ways men still have more power, though not always. But I do agree that women can be more and more difficult for men these days. It sucks though becuse women make things harder on men, and in return men make things harder on women. It's a vicious cycle.

I'm sorry that's not a popular answer.

On the other hand, God gives us His word on men and women in the bible, but many people don't want to listen to it. So what can we expect?

I don't recall men ever having the power to have "given" women any type of power or equality. I've always known that I am equal to everyone including men, people of other races, people with higher paying occupations, etc.
