WMDs? At this point, anyone would laugh at that idea. Freedom and democracy for the Iraqi people? There are many places, such as the Darfur region of Sudan, that are in worse shape than Iraq and could have used our help more. Terrorism? The only terrorists that are there were ones create by our presence or those who flocked to Iraq after the US invade to fight us. Can someone give me a reasonable explanation as to why we are there?

This is part of the guiding principles that the neocons who control the US gov't are following. When you're done with that, read

Notice some of the authors and signators:

Rumsfeld
Cheney
Scooter Libby
Jeb Bush
Wolfowitz
W. Bennett
Quayle

Sound like a familiar crew? It's not coincidence that these guys have been in control for decades now.

Also, in one of those key documents, they refer to the necessity of a "2nd pearl harbor" to mobilize their control over central and east asia. Just what do you think the 2nd pearl harbor could be? Hmmm, 911?

Talk about freedom, democracy, and liberation are as about as far away from the real objective that I can imagine.

I ask myself that question everyday!! Bin Ladin has absolutely nothing to do with Iraq. I think we are in great need of oil,so were taking over a country that had nothing to do with 911 and the genral public is so unbeliveabley gullable and scared to say anything that our government can get away with whatever it wants, such as start a war for instance!!

For oil, warfare profiteering, company/authorities enlargement, turning out to be the banking market/reviving the petro-dollar, and different many grimy issues which will no more desirable healthy atop of the ice berg. keep in suggestions, Iraq under no circumstances had to do some thing with 9/11, or different fabricated garbage. And judging through some comments, i'm able to allow you to recognize some are only...dumb. "9/11, saddam replaced right into a killer, he aided terrorists, and blah blah"... effective, Saddam replaced right into a grimy man or woman, yet a minimum of had a strong us of a, perfect training, and low priced healthcare to his people. yet, in the course of the Reagen years, we've offered Saddam with guns, poisonous-nerve brokers, and different chemical guns. we choose responsible our authorities for this, no longer people. those who pick to push aside the previous blunders will regrettably, and likely repeat them back. tremendous question.

W has to finish what his father started. We need the oil from iraq and drugs from afganistan to keep our economy going. We don't learn from history too well. As soon as we leave it will end up in the hands of some crazy infidels just like vietnam ended up communist anyway after 20 something years of war.

It's actually pretty simple. Tragic, but simple.

#1: Military-industrial complex
#2: Private interests and profits

I really don't know. I wish I did. I wish America knew the real reason, not some flip-flopping reason.

I do know, however, that we should be working on our issues here.
