Well I would ask him out and if he likes you he will say yes. Why are you all stressed out about this? Sounds kind of simple to me.

Just come over to him and say "Hi. How are you?" It's always known to break the ice (so to speak) and after that you both can talk about something else (like how happy your little brother is when this boy catches lightning bugs for him). Before you'll know it, he'll ask how to contact you to talk to you again :)

Next time he's catching lightening bugs, go out with a jar and ask him to show you how, or ask if you can help. While you're doing it, talk about how cool lightening bugs are, about other bugs that live around you, and other stuff that has nothing to do with boys and girls liking each other.
If he's showing off around you, he likes you too, and soon you'll be talking about THAT.

well i am 15 so hopefully i can help.the next time he is around be like i was planning on hanging at the movies but myfriend backed out at the last second and ask him do u want to go.
if that doesn't help and he never asks u out then u should just move on ur really young so there will be other boys that will grab ur attention to u just probably just don't realize it

just go with the flow
if u really like him like the post says, then give him hints tat you do like him,
if u r not talking to him, start talking to him, make conversation, smile a lot, make eye contact with him
but honestly, don't rush into anything, enjoy being a preteen
it's normal to have crushes and such, but don't go overboard

Don't pursue anything fast just let things happen in the way they are supposed to happen just don't lay back too much, you could get hurt or worse.
