My first child, I did not know I was pregnant until I was 3 months along. No symptoms at all; my cycles did not even stop. I was 19 years old and I hit keggers every weekend. My daughter does have learning delays. I am not sure if the 2 are related because there is no real way to find out now. However, my 2 year old son, that I knew right away I was pregnant and did not drink, is above average as far as learning. So I would just pray for a good outcome and stop drinking now, to avoid complications down the road.

probably. A few binge drinking nights do endanger the baby, but as long as she does not continue with these habits the baby should be fine. At that young of a stage, the baby does not absorb alcohol like you do.. it gets its nutrients from the blood and tissues in the cervix... Many women do not find out they are pregnant until after drinking or other destructive behavior. There is nothing she can do about it now, but most likely it won't cause any problems. (also, you can be calmed by knowing anything that seriously goes wrong in very early pregnancy usually results in a miscarriage.. meaning your body rejects a baby that has been harmed by things like alcohol or birth defects) Just don't indulge again and she and baby should be fine.

You should be fine. I was six weeks along when I first found out that I was pregnant and had drank quite a bit the weekend before (and probably a few other times in those six weeks as well). I was also concerned, but my Gynecologist said that since the fetus was so small and I didn't drink heavy on a regular basis that the baby should be fine. And he was. He's now a beautiful, bright 2 1/2 year old. Just take very good care of yourself and your fetus for the rest of your pregnancy--go to all your OB appointments, you should be fine. Good luck and congratulations!!!

Oh yeah honey you are fine!
They use to let you drink a few back years ago.
Eat right.
The baby will be fine. I drink and heavy and I wouldn't know I was PG until 4 weeks. All my babies are fine. The important thing is not to drink now.
☺

It takes more than a few days for the brain to begin developing, so I think the baby's okay.

As long as the women stops drinking when she finds out she is pregnant...the baby should be OK...but of course there are no guarantees. She needs to she her doctor as soon as possible.
