Everytime I go to his house, he always ends up taking a shower, and comes out only wearing a towel, which always drops so he can flash me. He always makes comments about having sex with me. But he says he is extremely homophobic, I don't understand his actions.

You can tell if your friend is gay by asking him.

If you are not gay, you may want to mention how his behavior is unpleasant to you.

If you are gay, and he freaks out when you ask, you can point out that you're not the one who has been making sex comments and running around naked, and perhaps he should think about his actions.

It could be a game of cat and mouse for him, leading you on, testing you, etc. OR, another, simpler explanation: he's a self-hating homosexual. There's a myriad of reasons for why he does this. Maybe he's trying to figure you out, regardless of whether or not he is straight or gay.

Remember these two things: "Believe none of what you hear and everything you see" and "The simplest explanation is often the answer" (that one's a cliff-notes version of "Akhem's Razor").

The best way to find out:
Have a serious talk and ask him. Tell him if you are or not. Sort it out. Move on.

On the fun side:
Anyway, if next time his happens you feel comfortable with doing this, you could always try teasing him next time he "accidently" drops the towel and say, "So, why don't you just leave that off? You know you want to!"" -and make sure you're kidding. Or you could "bust his balls" and tease him by saying "damn dude, I just now realized something. you've got the tiniest dick!". Again, just kidding with him. Or just hit him with "I thought you said you were homophobic. Why do you keep teasing me?" Guage his reactions.

Then again, maybe he is gay and just doesn't know it, or he is straight and just doesn't know that this potentially makes you feel uncomfortable (you never said if this did or not).

Then again, maybe he doesn't care that you see him naked, and he happens to be straight and feels comfortable enough himself and with you, his friend, to not worry about you making passes at him or whatever. After all, it's just you two guys... It's not too different from being in a community shower.

Would it really bother you if he is? Would it destroy your friendship, or would it grow?

He is afraid of being open, he is pretending to be homophobic, remember the movie "American Beauty," the boys father was extermely homophobic "what is this the ****ing gay pride parade?" etc, etc. As it turns out he was acting homophobic to mask his own homosexual desires.

Your friend wants you to make a move on him, and he is being discreet.

Next time your friend takes a shower, do one of the following things:

1-Get in the shower with him.
2-Knock on the bathroom door, he might say come in, and you will know
3-Go along with what another poster said, and go with the flow when hedrops the towel and flashes you, and makes comments about having sex with you.

it cant get any more obvious than that!! just because someone is gay himself does not mean he is not homophobic. many develop internal hatred due to pressure from their surrounding......
