All tires have a traction and temperature rating as well as a treadwear value indicating how long they are expected to last.
traction/temperature ratings of A are excellent, B are good, C are acceptable.
When purchasing tires ask what these values are.
Best would be A obviously. The higher the treadwear value the longer the tire is suppose to last.

the first thing you ask yourself is what kind of driving do i do? highway or in town..look at OEM requirements for your car..How much am i looking to spend? etc.
The car would probably perform better with a sport radial..like an eagle GT-HR or a higher quality all season like a goodyear Triple Tred...when you look at the tire size take a look at the speed rating at the end of the size..Yor suspension is tuned to a tie that meets these speed requirements..Even if you dont go as fast as the rating..these tires handle differently at all speeds....

You can try epinion.com Many people put out their views on items they bought. My favorite tire is Michelin, driven on them for many years with excellent wear and control. Used them on cars and trucks too. My other 2 favorites are Coopers and Dunlop. I believe that Dunlop radial tires got very high marks in the Consumers Report magazine.

Go to a reputable tire dealer near you, such as Les Schwab or other name brand, and get their advice. Also, you original owners manual should tell you what the original tires were.
