#1 - Well that's easy... the stranger had a big willy so she let him in to get some real loving on and they did it so much they both had massive heart attacks....
ok ok... if that's not it, then she let the guy in because he was going to keep her company and she talked him to death and then she kept on talking until she died of dehydration
#2 Well the obvious answer would be that the turtle soup he ordered in the restaurant tasted nothing like the "turtle soup" on the island. After all, if there were turtles around why would his wife die of starvation.
However, upon further review this cannot be the case... After all, you can live for about 10 days without food (I would guess more if you had more fat reserves) . You could however, die of dehydration, but that is not what the riddle says. So obviously what really happened is that the Chef got lonely, so he tried to get it on with the man's wife. She refused, so he killed her and "said" she died of starvation. The man, who obviously had no grasp on reality, shot himself in the head because he thought he'd be able to extend his disability insurance if he had a head wound.

Riddle #1: Considering the stranger is alive, the woman had the windows open and the man jumped in, killed her, then rolled up the windows and made sure the doors were still locked or; the stranger was there the whole time and when the husband left he killed the wife
Riddle #2: The first "turtle soup" was really his wife and when he tasted it at the restaurant he realizes that he ate his wife and is sickened by himself and commits suicide.

1. There was a stranger in the car the whole time and was waiting for the man to leave. Or, the wife was possessed by an alien form that killed her and escaped from her body later.
2. His wife was a turtle and it was too painful to see someone eat turtle soup.

I know the answer to #2. The man is blind, and when he was on the island the chef made the soup out of his wife. When he got back to civilization, he ordered turtle soup; when it didn't taste the same, he realized what had happened and killed himself.
#1, I'm not sure...was she blind too? Did she let in the stranger thinking he was her husband?

1. The killer entered through the window that was rolled down. In all likelihood since the car was out of gas the wife couldn't use AC and the trapped light in the car would build up heat forcing her to roll down the windows.
2. The chef served the man his wife and told him it was turtle soup. Upon tasting real turtle soup the man realized he had eaten his wife and shot himself in disgust.

1) There was a stranger in the car when he left.
2) The first turtle soup was actually made with his wife's body. When he had turtle soup at the restaurant, he found out what it was really supposed to taste like and realised what had happened.

It took a while ta figure thys out..but i've finally clocked on as to what happened...
The wife was pregnant and when her husband went to the petrol station..she went into labour...unfortunately, dying through it...
When the husband came bac, she was dead..and the baby was the person referred to as a stranger...
makes sense.
As for why tha man shot himself...im not too sure...maybe because it reminds him of the day his wife died...making him feel guilty for not finding the turtle prior to her death...in order for her to eat..
