That's a really interesting question, and it made me think.

Yes, they are, but not inherently. They are related because of other's treatment of the person, based on their appearance, and how it then shapes their responsive behavior. As a rule, a really attractive person experiences a pattern of admiration and favoritism, and they develop an expectation that this will continue to happen. They may then be more assertive and self-confident, knowing their usual pattern in life is to experience success. The way they will expect a situation to turn out, reflected in their personality, will be very different from a person who's experienced much rejection or even usual setbacks. This could be proven by studying different cultures which value different standards of beauty (ex: heavyset VS slender) and the corresponding personality types, which should follow the standard of beauty, NOT the trait itself.

Looks and personality are almost certainly NOT correllated in any way. Many people believe that good looking people can do no wrong; this belief is known as the Halo Effect, that is, attributing good personality variables to someone simply because they are good looking, even though they might not have that personality.

Again, looks and personality are not related.

Yes, unfortunately they are. If someone is very good looking, they may have a stuck up personality. Someone not so good looking, would be more introverted. I like everyone the same....color, race, personality is what makes the United States what a great country that we are. We are all one....

They may be. A really ugly person could have a great personality and a really gorgeous girl could be a big zero.

yes, it has been proven that "easy lookers" get better treatment at large. the sales person is quicker to help and so is the stranger, the police officer, the milk man, pizza guy... you name it. the way we are treated based on our looks would affect our personality.

i don't think so....because u can meet a really good-looking person with a great personality because they have such great self-esteem but don't get too proud...and u can meet a really good-looking person with a snobby personality...only wanting to be friends she feels are "equal" to her because she's too proud.....and you can meet a not-so-good-looking person with a great personality who believes looks aren't everything, and they just are nice to everyone, and you can meet a not-so-good-looking person with an awful personality....who always tries to be "cool", and is so mean to everyone because of their low self esteem or they just you know...wanna be cool...so i don't think so
