I have rephrased my question and re asked it. i am sorry to those people I affended in the first question. I just want to know why people get so mad at the subject of where people buy clothes.

OK so I have been reading some peoples questions and answers and I mean it is like our society is based off of where we buy our clothes and how much they cost! I saw one question about why would people shop at walmart or old navy. I was disgusted. I wanted to slap the guy. I mean seriously what has happened to our society? It shouldn't matter about what is on the outside. It is the inside that matters. I am truly disgusted. I also find it rude when the people who say they shop at walmart and kmart say rude things to people who spend more money on clothes but I just don't understand why people get so mad at eachother and say cruel things just because of where someone chooses to buy their clothes. There is more to life than clothes and money.

I agree with you - not only about clothing, but just about any topic you can imagine on this website, people are getting so worked up over stupid things. And, it also bothers me how misguided and ignorant some of responses are getting. It's mind boggling to think that people actually think like this! (I was just told that because I'm Canadian, I'm dirty) Seriously, what is wrong with people these days! Insanity!

so? You act/react like you discovered something new?
The whole idea of fashion has been around for, well a long long time, think romans and even before that. If you shop, dress, speak wrong have the wrong friends you are out. Back then if was of lifethreatning proportions if you were not 'in'. An outkast. Outkast is a word that has lost some of its 'infamous lustre' but then it almost meant certain death.

Now it indeed is just... blaagh and bla bla. You care about that, you better shop right. If you are beyond that; why bother with this? It will be around long after you are dead. It is not even skindeep. Find something real to be upset about.

I don't think labels on tags make people who they are. It shouldn't matter where something comes from. Clothes are all pretty much made of the same material. As long as it covers a person up and looks decent I don't see the problem. I think sometimes people like the more expensive clothes or big name designers so they can show what they can afford - or show off what they have. Labels and tags don't show how the person truly is.

I know what you mean. In class when weight came up I raised my hand and said that life would be better if everyone was blind and everyone was like what are you saying.

Well anyway our society is and will forever be messed up. So you might want to try and deal with the Bull ****.

some people are shallow and clothes matter. I think its the insecurity as well. If you need expensive clothes to feel good about yourself, you have issues. but a lot of people are like that.

Thank u!! I personally dress by what looks good on me. Not how much it costs or where it came from. Where it came from shouldn't be an issue
