Psone: Metal Gear solid Why? Best visuals on playstation, first game that seemed like a movie
PS2: Grand theft auto series Why? Thousands of things to do, wicked fun
Xbox: Halo 2: Many options, hugely popular

The best video game I've ever played was The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. The mix of puzzles and action puts MM at the top of my list.
