I doubt it qualifies as harassment since bosses are allowed to know if you are using drugs but I don't think he can ask your other place of employment. He has the right to have employees submit to drug tests so he can just pay to have one done if he wants to know.

Have you told your second boss what your schedule is like? If not, try tellling him that you are working two jobs and your eyes are red from lack of sleep. Tell him that if he wants to know if you use drugs, he can ask you himself or pay the fee for a drug test that he has not right to talk to your other current employer.

Also, go to your first employer and find out if they are releasing any information without your permission. Unless things have changed, your first employer can't release any information without your permission (except for reference info when you apply for a job with another employer).

You should provide the doctors note giving an overall statement of medical issues. The best way to follow through would be to ask your physician to fill out an FMLA claim that would allow you specific leave from work for migraines if they are chronic. As for the questioning, your boss may ask that question, but the other has no business answering it. It goes the same for when you leave a job to go to a new one. Your new potential boss may ask, but the old cannot tell unless it was the cause for your termination. As for the landlord issue. Put your rent in escrow until the problems are fixed.

Call city/county offices and report what's happening. Ask if there's any legal aid group in your community. You are being treated unfairly and someone should put your boss straight.. Your medical condition (menopause, meds) are nobody's business, as long as you can get to and do your job without endangering anyone. If there's some kind of city/county/state welfare dept. in your area there may be a social worker who could chew out that boss/landlord, and look into whether he's complying with laws about landlord-tenant-housing regulations. Who takes care of your kids?

Your boss is your landlord? Yikes! You need to get away from this person. Not only that you are being harrassed. You can file complaints against him for what he is doing. Invasion of privacy, harrassment, character assassination, those are just a few violations that come to mind. You need to talk to an attorney. Check you local landlord/tenant laws by calling your clerk of district court (blue pages in the phone book if you are in US). You might also want to check and see if this guy has a record. If he does, you may not have too much trouble getting out of any contracts with him. Turn him in and get away from him. Best of luck. Let me know if I can look something up for you.

Find another place to live. Then contact a lawyer if your second boss contacts your main boss.
