I LOVE country music!! I always have and I always will! I admit that I have listened to other types of music ,and still do every now and then, but I've always gone back to country. Some of my favorite country artisits are Kenny Chesney, Josh Turner, and Big & Rich. Country music is great because you can relate to the songs.

Although I live in Texas, I haven't been out to that many country bars, but I do have alot of fun when I do get to go. Also, all the country bars that I've been to have also played a little bit of pop/rock/and r&b for people to dance to.

I hope you find a country bar to go to soon. It's so much fun!!

I like Country Music ! In the area around Austin, Seguin, and San Antonio (Texas) we have a network of Oprys. Some are Jams ( audience musical participation allowed) and some are Shows (performance by invitation only).. We enjoy the sense of community, and the fellowship that develops. Many come to play in the bands, sing, or just enjoy dancing to the music . Mostly we do Waltzes. Two Steps. and Line dnaces. Some of our folks "jitterbug" and do the Shodish. I understand one Opry used to have folks who liked clogging - I wish I had seen that1
Last week the Lonestar Country Jamboree had a show that Featured Justin Trevino and Frenchie Burk - it was great!

Country is my very favorite type of music! That's where you'll find songs to relate to, songs that you can really be moved by. Country bars are great, too! We have one not far from where I live called the Old Rebel, and I have a blast every time I go. The people are friendly, nobody gets too grabby, I hear my favorite music, and I've never paid for a drink there-ever! I hope you find a country bar soon-I'm sure you'll love it.

I do not like country music. I did grow up in the country and in the south, and many people listened to it. I very much prefer rock-n-roll, blues, bluegrass, classical and other music types. I guess I just do not see enough variety in country and I find it repetitious and boring. I do know that most songs do not mention pickup trucks, dogs or things like that, but it sure can feel like it. If they took the twang out of their voices, and lose the steel guitar, I might give it another try. On second thought, nah!

I love Country music! I've been to country bars. The atmosphere is so much better than any other kind of bar, plus I know the music that they play.

Well, growing up in Texas, I've been exposed to it all my life. I will always be a big George Strait fan, and I really liked Garth back in the 90s. But lately country music just hasn't been doing it for me.

I'll teach you how to two-step next time you are in Texas!

I dislike it with a passion. But don't be offended, it's just my opinion. It's rock n roll all the way for me.
