No, it does not.
If your car runs on regular unleaded, use regular. Using mid grade or premium wastes money and does nothing to improve your car's mileage or performance. On the other hand, a car that uses premium can run on mid grade, or in some cases regular unleaded, but will waste gas by burning it up faster. People think they are saving money using cheaper gas, but not really. Cars are designed a certain way for a reason.
A tip for everyone: Gasoline expands when hot. It is best to fill up your car in the evening or very early in the morning. You get more gas that way. When gas expands, the pump meter is fooled into thinking you have more gas than you do. This is a fact.

Depends, read your owner's manual. Most cars are engineered to run on 87 Octane Gasoline, if it is otherwise the manual will tell you. If you use higher than recommended Octane level it will have no noticable changes immediately, but later on the engine can build up carbon and start to ping. The engine cannot burn the Octane efficiently enough and it will cause more harm. Unless you advance the timing of course :)

I dont sugguest using acetone on your autos gas tank. gas has particular ingredients for gasoline economic device/ staying sparkling. Theres no asserting if that acetone might smash any seals or maybe your gasoline injectors. (that could desire to be extreme priced, counteracting you component of saving gas) greater octane gas dosnt necessairly mean greater beneficial gas mileage. unquestionably if your motor vehicle demands 87 you could desire to run 87. I run ninety one, yet my motor vehicle is supercharged and rather changed for overall performance. in case you go with for to help with gas mileage do this: verify suited inflation of tires Do oil differences a minimum of each and every 4000 miles (attempt to no longer pass a lot over) make particular your air filter out is in good difficulty Use the A/C much less (it is a great gas sucker) excellerate slowly, you lose maximum gas excellerating then you particularly do going sixty 5 on the throughway additionally the speedier velocity you rigidity, the greater gas it takes...sluggish it down will dramatically boost gasoline mileage

Premium gasoline is designed more for your higher powered cars. I have a 1988 Nissan 300zx turbo. Put regular in it once and it just spit and stalled and I ended up getting lousy milage and it was not good for my engine. Premium gasoline will make any engine last longer.

Its a waste of money the car companies spend millions engineering their cars. They are designed to run at top performance with the fuel that they tell you to use.

no. according to the owner's manual in my car, if you purchase an octane above regular, the vehicle will operate with no problems, but you are just wasting your money.
