Wasn't Ricky Martins presence on Oprah today really weird and unnecessary?

The episode was about child sex slaves. I only watched the first 20 min...you know..because I'm crazy and don't enjoy hearing about children being raped...but from what I saw he was just sitting there with a stupid smile on his face. WHY was he THERE?? I was so confused.

Because Ricky Martin was a child sex slave on the streets of El Salvador.... he is disturbing no matter where he is.
