Leather wallet used to be brown, now it's becoming dark brown. Would rather have the leather to become lighter as it ages if possible ( If I have to put some oil or something , that's fine)

Debbie S is correct. Leather that is used or worn becomes darker over time. In the case of your wallet it has darken because of your body heat , body moisture and friction. There is only one thing that will make it lighter and that is a "bleaching solution" from Tandy Leather, it will strip off the old finish and stain. You will have to take apart the wallet, strip it, restain it, refinish it, and sew it back together.

sandpaper will remove the outer later to reveal a lighter tone underneath. We were just doing this tonight with motorcycle chaps using 100 grit. Uniformity can be difficult to achieve but distressed is easy which we were going for. lower grit gives fast result and higher gives slower but smoother result. Even bleaching can produce uneven color

You can only go darker with leather, not lighter...
