They spontaneously change into right foot socks through a process known as "Turning inside out"
The right foot socks are the ones that really disappear. They generally end up in my dad's garage as varnish rags.

there is a laundry mat in SanFrancisco that is called the lost sock. I think that they all go there to retire.
