Why is it that every Krispy Kreme store I've ever seen has closed down, and the only place you can get them is at skeevy gas stations and 711's. Did I miss something?

considering that they are about 1000 times more delicious than anything Dunkin Donuts has to offer, I find it hard to believe that DD put them out of business, but its the strangest thing I've ever seen. All the cute little KK stores are gone, and now I only see them in the shadiest 24 hour stores

People realized that the 200 calorie donuts are not so good for the body. There is a store still open, believe it or not. It is in Plano, TX on Central Expressway, between Spring Creek and Parker. I used to see those things all of the time in Wal-Mart and Albertsons. The only place I see them is in gas stations anymore.

There is a Krispie Kreme Store in Little Rock, AR, on Shackleford, just down from the heart hospital. I love 'em!

I don't remember all the details, but I read that Krispy Kreme either sold their interests to a competitor or just closed.

I heard there was some scandle with the former CEO. He has since been replaced, but many of the Kripsy Kreme's across the country have closed down. It is sad news for us donut lovers of the world.

Those things were way too sweet. I personally like regular donuts. I think that it was just a fad. Its only a snack not a real meal. Donuts all day? I dont think so. They didnt really need all of those drive thru restaurants. Looks like they were in way over their heads.

Theres one here in Gainesville and another by my house in Miami but I see what you mean. I guess people have become more concerened with their health and thats why businesses like this close down, theres no point in keeping them around if there isn't mass consumption.

They're right across the highway from my house in a beautiful bakery in the supermarket. But I'm not a doughnut person, too sugary.
