Maybe some cappilary has a puncture. Have a eye checkup. At times when we scratch the eyelids, the capillaries get rubbed and a a tiny scar is formed, which may bleed later on.
Do see a doctor right away.
And dont follow the crazy suggestions you`ll get on Yahoo Answers.

I would highly recommend that you go see your doctor about this problem, as we are not always aware when our bodies are stressed out or when we have high blood pressure. It would be much safer to take the word of your doctor than the word of a complete stranger when it comes to your health (unless they are a doctor). Of course what you do after discussing the matter with your doctor is up to you.

This is called a broken cappilary or blood vessel of the eye. Lifting, coughing too hard, a blow to the eye, etc. Hold a cold compress to the eye. This will help narrow the blood vessel or cappilary, will eventually stop the bleeding. Hope this helps you.

bleeding in the eye should not be taken lightly .
have your eyes checked by your GP+your ophthalmologist.
The fine capillaries tend to bleed if you have high blood pressure.
if the walls of the capillaries break down , commonly in Diabetes

See a doctor. It could be blood pressure or a broken blood vein in the eye. See a doctor.
