Sure, why not? Many old 'children's' stories have become high literature. (Guliver's Travels for example)

If it makes you happy, yes. But really what has this to do with philosphy? The actual texts themselves do not compare to the works of real writers though.

'high literature' maybe, but not Mythology.... that would be more like stories people believed were true but now know they're not...
