I t seems like Boulder has great ideals, and the USA federal government has made choices that unreconscilably different from these. wouldn't it be better to withdraw support and form an independant state?

Sounds like the concept of a democratic republic has been completely lost on you. Since you didn't win an election, and the majority seem to going another direction, you break up the organization whenever the majority doesn't vote your way?

I agree. Leave. But we keep the land, since you seem to have forsaken us, not the other way around. You want a dictatorship where the minority dictates to the majority or you aren't going to play. Don't play. Just don't stay. Feel free to leave any time.

By the way, I'm a Democrat. But I'm an American, first.

Go take a civics class.

Nanu- nanu!

Yes, I believe we should do Boulder a favor and expel them from the US. You must strictly ride a bicycle or drive a hybrid to be admitted to the city.

The town is still crammed with Mead swilling, scraggly haired freaks who wanna change the world ( for the better!)

Even though Boulder likes to boast it has the highest per capita use of lycra cycling shorts, Lots of wiggy sunglasses and still has a few folks wondering around Pearl st. staying up all night, on acid.

As George Dubya once said " Ahh, let um go. All the chicks there are either democrats or homos anyways!"

Based on the bungling of the Jon-Benet Ramsey case, and the public record of Boulder proper, I'd be so happy if they not only "leave" on paper, but go so far as moving lock, stock, and barrel to Quebec or Iran where they can do no harm to the greatest country in the world.

Granolaheads, that's a good one!

Colorado has a wide range of people. There are the farmers and of course there are country boys-yes there are hicks, rednecks, and people that listen to country music and watch nascar

hehe, I don't see a city-sized, US land-locked independent state lasting long. Especially not with ol' Trigger Happy in charge. : P

Did you ever hear about something called the Civil War? Check it out. I think it decided the answer to that question.

Apparently one of those great "unreconscilably ideals" is not education.
