big problems for how many ordinary/poor people can be solved with 2 million dollars?

Wealthy people are not responsible for curing the ills of society or for making non-wealthy people happy. If they have the money, let them spend it on what they want. Why should it concern you? If you want a wealthy person to be fiscally "responsible" the only solution is to become a wealthy person yourself. Bottom line: the only person whose actions you can control is yourself.

people with lots of money like to show off. they know they can have anything they want and are willing to spend a lot for less. they just have a big head, that is why they spend 2 million dollars for an ear ring.

It's very easy: they write a check or pay cash or put it on a card.
Big problems for ordinary/poor people can be solved by ordinary/poor people.
Take responsibility for your own actions and let them take responsibility for theirs.

They do have lots of money, but also jewelers give them jewels on loan. Knowing that media will be asking what they are wearing to get their name out. The bad thing about that is, is that all that jewelry is so expensive that it doesn't matter if their name gets heard or not, b/c no one but A-list celebs can afford to pay out of pocket for it.

If you're thinking of celebrities who show up with incredibly expensive jewelry at events and parties, they don't usually buy those. Jewelers will lend them things for the exposure that comes with a famous person wearing something of theirs.

Because they are dumb... and they probably wont have that kind of money forever if they are spending it so frivilously. It doesnt matter how much money I have... that's just ridiculous.

They have so much of $'s that they dont know how to just spend them and just want to spend for luxury or just for fun!!

i can see paris hiltin doing that kind of thing but not like normal middle class people
