Your network connection should say 'connected / firewalled' depending on the router you use. If you do not have a router firewall active then others can surf the net using your connection. Your router will pick up other networks in the local area but you won't be able to connect as you will need a password (if they are set up securely)

You should also have a good firewall and anti virus program set up to protect your PC, you can get good free ones on the Computer active web site (downloads section) You will also find good anti-spyware software and other goodies.

Why shoud you be worried? Are you watching porn all the time?

You have to ensure that your wireless connectivity is secure & locked, otherwise others will be logging on, using your connection.
