Considering applying for it for a personal website that offers some research services - wondering if anyone here has advice or experience on how much money they've made.

It works, but you need to create a "content rich" site to drive traffic to and then they have to click on the Adsense ads on your site.

Choose keywords that pay the highest cost-per-click.

yep, but google doesn't work for everybody as i've heard. if u have enough traffic on your site, u can definitely earn good pay from google adsense.

try to make money from internet if you want,i try it and work nice with this affiliate program,the rest its not serious because close accounts or cheats,adwords google to! close account withou real reason and not mutch money,but last one its ok,you can earn from a banner or emails, 5 ero or 200 euro depend of the company offerts,start from here http://makemoney.yacam.altervista.org/

I paid them for hits on some keywords, but it never resulted in any sales. Thousands of hits, though.
