My little girl just keeps tugging at her ears really hard. I've checked her and don't see no other signs of infection. Could it be teething pain. She does have teeth coming in.

Absolutely, if it's certain teeth. Your whole sinus system (lol) is all connected...runs from your ears to your sinus cavity to your nostrals. What's directly under your nostrils and sinus cavities? Teeth! My older son pulled at his ears something fierce when he was getting his canine teeth. I took him to the doctor and his ears were fine.

HOWEVER, if your daughter is in daycare or around other people a lot, she could very well have an ear infection. Better be safe than sorry and take her to her pediatrician (or at least call) and see what he/she says.

Pulling at the ears is a sign of an ear infection. Unfortunately this happens quite often with a child who is teething. You won't be able to see any outward signs of the ear infection other than the tugging and pulling at the ears, irratibility and sometimes a runny nose or signs of a cold. An ear infection won't clear up on it's own and if left untreated could cause damage to the ear drum which could lead to loss of hearing. I would suggest getting your baby to his/her pediatrician as soon as possible.

It could be the teething. The ears, nose & throat are all connected, so maybe it gives her some relief to tug her ears. You should have her looked at by a doc anyway. Ear-pulling IS a classic sign of ear infection after all.

Teething does a lot of funny things to children. My daughter did the same thing, and even developed an ear infection when teething

Probably not teething pain....It could be an ear infection because a lot of times you cant see the signs of infection....When she pulls her ears does she have a painful face? or an "all in good fun" face... It might just be a habit... I suggest calling your pediatrician...

i was always told that it is an ear infection so i would take her to the doctors and have them put her on some antibiotics for an earinfection, pulling on the ear can also make that ear bigger than the other it will hang lower so try and not let her do that, and take care of the ear infection, if there is something wrong other than that , that would hurt her ears like that the doctor will let you know what to look for!

Possible teeth coming in, but maybe an inner ear infection---take her to the Doctor.

no, teething will not cause her to pull at her ears. it sounds like she has an ear infection. you need to take her to the doctor right now so it doesnt get any worse. go to the ER if you have to. ear infections can get serious really fast and damage her ears.
