What's up? Don't you trust your kids? If that's the case, you should have a parental control on their PC. The information will be somewhere on the hard drive, you will have to get an expert to have a look for you but if they have done something illegal you can expect trouble with the law.

As stated above, there is no way to restore it. But I have to ask: why do you continue to let them use the computer when they're obviously trying to hide something? Why not say, "If you delete the internet history, the computer is off-limits!"

There is no inexpensive way to restore history from your computer, but if you have the Windows Vista Beta 2, you can set up parental controls that block or monitor what they are doing on the computer.

Not sure how you can restore it sorry, but I have put parental control on my childrens internet access. They have different levels of control as they are different ages and I have a report sent by email every week to see if they viewed any sites that are questionable. Hope this helps.

You would have to have special software and a good level of expertise to do that. What you try and looking the Windows/Temp/Temporary Internet Files directory. They may not have clear the cookies or the temporary files. You may be able to guess sites they have been to by the name of any cookies the site left. You may also be able to see the pictures that were on the site. You might not be able to tell what site they were at - but if its porn pictures then they were at a porn site.
Good luck

There a number of programs avaible that monitor things like this. www.pctattletale.com is one you might try. You might want to lay out some ground rules for your kids to stick to when on the internet, and if they don't obey, take away their right to the internet. Pretty simple

So sorry but once you delete temporary internet history or your cookies, they aren't retrievable anymore. What you can do, is download programs on the internet that track where your computer visits and you can review it later. Try www.download.com

If you are really worried about what they are up to get a blocker, like "net nanny" but if they are "smart" they would probly ask about "proxys" to bypass the blocks...:S if you believe them to be good kids, just trust them. Most kids don't really want to get into trouble or worry their parents...at least the ones I know of.

Isn't there a way you can locked the control panel, so they cannot alter the pages kept in history section. surely there is a way for you to access parental control with a password they don't know?
