It will only play the audio in Windows Media Player not video.

I downloaded wedding crashers yesterday in mpeg format and watch it but I could not transfer it to a dvd. This error message kept popping up that the audio or video codec was not supported. If I try to copy using something other than Media Player will that work?

That's because Windows Media Player only plays .wmv videos. You need something that supports .avi. QuickTime will do it for you, but I suggest you get VLC media player, which will play ANY form of video.

You probably need to download a AVI codec, i suggest downloading Divx.

1: get rid of lime wire ,bare share,,etc
2: run a good spy ware removal program like adaware se from lavasoft
3: if you have the correct codex installed and it still wont play, check size of file , you might have downloaded a virus
