Although some people claim to have milk before they have the baby I would not recommend pumping because the baby needs the colostrum or pre-milk in the first few days after life. Congrats on your soon to be baby though!

Generally, you should have a well-established milk supply before you start pumping. This won't happen until after baby is born and you are both comfortable and well-practised at nursing.
The La Leche League recommends waiting until the bab is 4 to 6 weeks old before you try to start pumping.
Also, if you start pumping now, the nipple stimulation could send you into an early labor and your baby would be premature.

Sorry, it's not going to work. You will only get the colostrum, the "pre milk". This will be what your baby will eat for the first day or two of life. It is full of antibodies and other healthy stuff for your baby. A couple of days after you give birth, your milk will come in and then you can start pumping. Good luck!

Don't pump before the baby arrives. It may cause damage to your nipples and it might send you in to labor early. My doctor advised not to start pumping until the baby has been at the breast for at least a week.

Absolutly not ---- your colostrum isn't even in yet - Let your baby get that first.

You are not technically supposed to start pumping until 6 weeks post partum, unless there are underlying circumstances (which your doctor or peditrician will let you know about).

Keep in mind - breast milk is produced by supply and demand..... If you are over-pump, you are going to be really sore when you start slacking off.

Don't do that, when you breastfeed you uterus starts contracting, that's fine once the baby is out, but not when you're still pregnant you'll go into labor and that's dangerous, you could cause serious problems for your baby, you are not considered full term until at least 36 weeks.

I don't think you should start pumping before you have your baby. Your body makes milk according to what your baby needs. Before you can make milk, you make colostrum... what is called "liquid gold". I would definately wait. You can pump after the baby is born.

DON'T DO THAT! That triggers the hormones to induce labor!! It's not necessary anyway...you'll have SO much milk come in about 3 days after that baby's born to feed an army...trust me.

you can freeze the milk if you choose to do that. I know someone who would pump constantly and freeze extra so she had a good supply (just in case.) she had an entire extra freezer just for breast milk.

ABSOLUTLEY NOT!!!

Please, for your own sake, and the sake of your baby...go out today, right now and buy What to Expect When you're Expecting....you're about 35 weeks late...but if you read fast...you may have enough information to not endanger you or your baby before you give birth.
