they think of sex as something fun to do (a game) and is a must. At the same time they don't think of the chance they're taking. In other words consider the possiblity of becoming pregnant.. Because to them, they most likely think that's not going to happen to them, just to someone else. Plus some girls want a baby, because either they want someone to love them because they don't feel loved, it's a good way to trap the guy there with and etc.
In school I knew this girl from the time she was 15, she was trting to get pregnant and it didn't matter by whom. When she was asked why, her answer was I love babies, I want someone to love me and he/she will,, and etc. Also another girl I knew in highschool got pregnant on purpose to keep her boyfriend. He still ended up leaving.

because the sexual education classes in this country are so hooked up on religion that we can only tell them about abstinence. And since this culture depends on image and sexuality to sell products that make teens think that having sex at any age, (this includes looking sexy, playing around with sex, and using vulgar language as a part of everyday discussions) is okay abstinence doesn't work. So basically the media they see around them every day tells them that sex is the best thing for them.. and then really old people that can't relate tell them that the best form of birth control and safe sex is not to have sex at all. It is not a very convincing lesson.

Because sex is everywhere my liltle cousin is 15 and is 4 months pregnant. Its what the world broadcast on TV. Now im not gonna lie i have sex on a regular basis and i am 17. BUT when i do i use protection if he doesnt have protection then we are not having sex and thats the bottom line. and that what teenagers are NOT doing.

because now a days people group people into "cool" and "uncool" categories. you cant be "cool" without the right body, having a boyfriend and having sex. at the age they do have sex they are not thinking and doesn't use a condom. so they get pregnant. if people wouldn't separate other people then this wouldn't happen

Because;

At the spur of the moment it seems 'fun' and 'harmless' plus alot get pressured into doing it =[ and it sux for them when their 15 and have to drop out of school and get a job and cant support their baby...its sad.

Because people fear teens as sexual beings and withhold information needed to prevent this. European countries realize all people are sexual beings and will have sex if they so desire, information and protection is given widely.

Because you have to be 18 ( in Virginia) to buy a condom, so they cant just go in and buy them. also stores but them behind glass so you cant steal them.
