Computer Help. I can't get the Mac in my windows network via Eithernet?

System Preferences > Sharing > Services

Select all the services you want to select. Personal File Sharing and Windows sharing will allow you to access it from the Windows machine.

On the Windows box, navigate through the network and find your computer. If it is not listed, you will have to add it using the IP address that is in the same window when "windows sharing" is highlighted.

you have to enable in your mac preferences and then the network settings to communicate with windows.
