I'm against abortion, but I don't think that people should stop having sex - they should just start accepting the responsibility that comes engaging in an act that brings forth life. If a married couple does not want children, they can use birth control pills/IUD/condoms/vasectomy/ tubal ligation, etc. If unwanted pregnancy occurs, they can place the infant for adoption. This actually does happen - my sister adopted a son from a couple who were well-established business-oriented married adults, who simply did not want to raise a family.

no I don't think that. They should always use some kind of birth control. If pregnancy happens, the woman should have the baby and give him/her up for abotion. That way a couple that wants kids and can't have any, can have a chance. Because no matter if the couple wants or doesn't want the baby, a baby deserves a chance at life. If the baby wasn't meant to be, the woman wouldn't have gotton pregnant.

You missed one other 100% effective method...a pan hysterectomy (everything is removed: ovaries, tubes, uterus and cervix).
At any rate, no I don't think they should abstain from sex. The pill is 99% effective so a pregnancy on it, with someone who takes it exactly as described, is slim. Also, intimacy and sex is a vital part of marriage so I do not recommend abstinence. If pregnancy occurs, the couple must deal with it in whatever way works for them.
I have my own views on abortion but I would never impose my views on someone else. Each person has to live with the choices that they make. It is not my job to judge them or to make their choices.

If they dont want children and are married, the woman should get her tubes tied and the man should have a vasectomy. I know for a fact birth control isnt 100% effective. I have 2 daughters because of it. But I made the choice to have sex, therefore these babies are my resposibility

I should think that they should have sex. Sex can be a very pleasurable experience in the relationship. It allows all that passion for someone to come out and be alive. Although you would want to use a contraceptant(condom) if you don't want to have kids. Although contraceptants sometimes break because of too much pressure or too much friction, it is best to use birth control pills or vaginal rings that control your fertility.
If I were in this situation, I would still want to have sex with my wife but knowing the risk of having a kid. I would use a contraceptive and her to use birth control pills.
Actually after my mother had me she had her "tubes" tied. I don't know the exact procedure to do this but it might just be the way to go if you do not want a kid but still want to have sex.

Well, when they calculate the effectiveness rates for various forms of birth control, they include all the people who are either too careless or too stupid to use them properly. If you take those people out of the calculations, some forms of birth control are pretty close to 100% Really the chances are so small so as to be non-existant. I mean, really, if you have only a one tenth of one per cent chance of getting pregnant using some particular form of birth control, that's a lot of safe sex.

I agree with first answer. My parents didn't want kids but they got pregnant with my sister. Instead of murdering an innocent child they kept her. I was a playmate for her. Five years later, oops! They were pregnant with my brother.
If they really don't want kids, they could get they're tubes tied or a vasectomy.
I was raped and was STILL against abortion. I lost my baby but if I was willing to raise my child (or give birth and let someone adopt my baby), why can't they do the same?

there are natural family planning methods also -
if you are a married couple and do not want a baby be very careful but if you get a baby that is Gods will for you - children are a blessing and really fun to raise
if you get pregnant and do not want the child, you can always give it up for adoption - i don't see killing someone just because you don't want them around or can't be bothered to take care of them
sex is a natural part of marriage & many people marry so they can have sex with eachother
PLEASE REMEMBER PRO-CHOICE = CHOOSING
I CHOSE TO HAVE MY BABY

I don't want this answer to sound pornographic, but because of medical reasons my wife is unable to take the pill. Our solution is oral sex. We both find it very satisfying and it is not as straight forward as it sounds. There are lots of ways to make it interesting. The only thing is that you have to be really diligent about oral hygiene. Abstinence is not a healthy choice in a marriage

Be sterilized if you dont want kids. Otherwise be as careful as possible, if you get pregnant deal with it. Abortion in no way should be used as birth control., if even used at all, i think is a horrible act for a woman to kill the life growing inside of her.
