The REAL enemy

The "good news", if there is any, is that it's unlikely that North Korea (DPRK) has the resources to produce and maintain a stockpile of this class of weapon.

The bad news is that Bush's "war on terror" and his single minded determination to impose his personal vision on the middle east has, once again, taken our eye off the ball in North Korea. At the very same time, it's created unnecessary animosity towards the US in the rest of the world, including nations that could be helping contain North Korea.

All of that said, we in the west don't usually realize that grand statements of the Kim Jong-Il regime are usually directed at a domestic Korean (North & South) audience.

For DPRK citizens, Kim Jong-Il's pronouncements are designed to remind North Koreans how fortunate they are that Kim Jong-Il is working hard to defend them from imminent attack from the US. Remember that most North Koreans think the US started the Korean War.

Kim Jong-Il also seems to believe that these propaganda statements show South Koreans that the DPRK is very advanced and that they (South Korea) would be better off if they were under the care of the "Dear Leader" (Kim Jong-Il).

Just my 2¢, but I'm not any more worried than I was last week (which is still plenty).

They see us as infidels of their sacred land. they do no longer choose us there. consequently because of the fact we are there it sparks anger and encourages others to connect the combat. If we circulate away the middle East different than the place invited they are going to have not have been given any reason to combat us. Bin weighted down reported that the reason of the assaults Al Qaeda has made on Western pursuits is as a results of the fact we are there. easy experience says if we circulate away they are going to have not have been given any reason to attack us. is this a win? Is it a loss? according to threat this is a draw? Frankly it rather is not substantial. If we circulate away our actually everyone seems to be alive and so are many harmless adult adult males, women individuals, and infants over there. all the money and manpower spent over there, had it been spent on examine and progression of alterative skill would have yielded marvelous effects by potential of now. we are falling in the back of something of the international interior the form of hydrogen vehicles, renewable liquid fuels and photograph voltaic skill. We would win the combat for oil yet lose the conflict on international warming and our management place interior the international of technologies.

Its endless ,one has just got to let people be,its precisely "being concerned "that drives all these countries to greater defence,no one wants to end up like iraq has.Its only the balance of power that works as a deterent to agression, the north coreans had probably wanted this to be "discovered" by spy satellites as a warning that hey we are around and dangerous dont mess with us.

And so is Iran...

We are at war with terrorism and dictators like Saddam are the enemy. Are you saying we should invade Iran and N. Korea now?

One fight at a time.

of course.

Our government is ignoring legitimate dangers and screwing with the oil producing countries in order to disrupt supply which in turn drives up the price of his own oil investments and he gets to laugh all the way to the bank on the blood of our own soldiers.

It's about the money folks, WAKE UP.

Can't see Dubya invading, sorry sending his soldiers invading anytime soon - too much like shooting fish in a barrel, even Rumsfeld & Cheney know this.
