Here are a few suggestions...

Lots of summer festivals, from car shows in most towns, to ethnic festivals downtown Detroit, to Elvisfest in Ypsilanti. Just look in the paper each Thursday and Friday.

Henry Ford Museum is good, and from their you can go to see the Ford Rouge plant and watch F-150's getting built. It's awesome! But you have to make a reservation.

Also fun in Michigan are the parks, and canoeing along the Huron River...leave from Milford and canoe down to Kensington where they'll pick you up. http://www.heavnercanoe.com/

Summer is great in Michigan

Take a bus tour from a good company or drive yourself. We did last year and visited Frankenmuth,(Large Xmas Store and German Food, Dearborn - Ford Company. Spend at least one day on to Mackinaw Island with no cars. Then go to Sioux City and the locks. Return via Traverse City and the water. Stop off in Grand Rapids for the Gerald Ford Museum We had a great time.

I live in Ann Arbor, and there is tons to do here! There is good shopping, movie houses, museums, recreation (the Huron River is good for canoeing and kayaking), etc. Starting soon is "Top of the Park," which will offer some different stuff, and in July we have the Ann Arbor art fair.

If you're really looking for excitement, you can go skydiving in Tecumseh.

You can go up to Traverse City next month for the cherry festival, which is always fun.

What are you into? Feel free to email me if you'd like (my username@yahoo) and I'll try to give more specific advice!

There is plenty to do in West Michigan. The area was ranked #3 in the "Fun and Recreation" category by Places Rated Almanac. Check out the article by cnn.com below.

Try Frankenmuth. Its a german villaige styled city and has an amazing all year Christmas shop which is amazing.

Macinaw (might be spelled Macinac) Island is pretty interesting as well.

Do nothing. If baseball games and live bands won't make you happy, what will?

You don't need more. As they say in I Love Huckabees "You have and are everything you want and everything you want to be."
