I see most here answering questions are at work, cheating their boses and being unproductive. Are the opinions given biased by their nature?

I apoligize, I read the answers from another question and the people stated that they were at work cheating on their boses. I guess the people that answered my question were not at work. Sorry

I am very upset with your statement. I am a teacher but I typically put in 2-4 hours a night because I am bored with television and I can't move much because of my hip problem. (I am being operated on next week.) As a teacher and librarian, I like answering questions and helping people but I try not to do anyone's homework for them.

How do you know most of these people are doing this at work? Can you prove this statement?

We're all here, which means we're interested - more or less. Lazy workers, cheaters - whatever, they're PEOPLE, and someone needs to hear their opinion.
On the other hand, I agree that all answers are biased, because everyone has some prejudices.
As for cheating bosses,-- hey, they can be absolutely terrible sometimes, so let people have some fun. ;)))

that is a bold statement especially since yahoo is a world wide used website with people from all over the world, time zone, etc. i for one am not a lazy worker on my boss's time.. but anyways..
no matter what, answers will always be biased for instance answers exclude all people who don't have the internet or even visit yahoo.com and answer questions so yes it is biased.. find something that's not..

My family almost always answers from home--and is cheating no one. I don't think that the answers are biased--some are a little bit off the wall, but not biased--or by a particular person's nature.

Everyones opinion are based upon who they are. You can tell someones whole nature by what they say. By assuming that they are at work and robbing their employers is your opinion. Every ones job is different. I am actually at home on maternity leave but my job is so tedious that I would need something productive to do to pass the time anyway. On a question like this you really need to view yourself.

Not all of us are workers!! Seriously, some of us stay at home with kids or answer after work is over. As for those at work, while they are inappropriately using the company's resources, they still have life experience and knowledge that can be helpful.

Did you ever think that a lot of us are perfectly moral stay at home moms, people who work at home, federal employees who have an irregular work week, or students who only have a half day....or work at wendy's who don't have a 9-5 job,.....the list goes on. there are many reasons why perfectly non lazy people would be at home answering questions. What's your excuse?

do you know for a fact that everyone is at work?
And I don't really see a connection between answers being biased, and the answerer being lazy...

Wow, what an entirely rediculous statement... unless you have some kind of super secret vision to see through millions of connections past the monitors.

Just trying to start a flame war, huh?

Not in the least. It's apples and oranges.

Just because we're being bad, doesn't mean we don't know what's right. We just choose to do the wrong thing...
