Pay backs for the ones that paid for his appointment to the presidency. He has run up the biggest deficit in history, this from a budget surplus that Clinton had done. Didn't take long to ruin all the prosperity did it.

The definition of tax cuts to the rich is:
By 2010, when the Bush tax cuts are fully in place, 52% percent of the total tax cuts will go to the richest one percent—whose average 2010 income will be $1.5 million. Their tax-cut windfall in that year alone will average $85,000 each. Put another way, of the estimated $234 billion in tax cuts scheduled for the year 2010, $121 billion will go to just 1.4 million taxpayers.
I would say that is a tax cut for the wealthy! What would you say it is? I know they didn't get it all. The average wage earner ($44,000) got about $40.00!
Who knows why. He's an idiot who "I represent the haves and the have mores" which his policy clearly shows the bias.
JMMINCC, Ronald Reagan already tried David Stockman's "Trickle Down" theory and it didn't work then!! . Some call it Voodoo Economics. I call it pure greed! It hasn't worked the past 2 cuts Bush gave either. It just never seems to trickle down!!! That's why the gap betweeb the rich and poor is growing and you are wiping out the middle class!!!
Yes, and the top 50% pay 96 percent of the taxes. That is those who earn $44,000 and there sure the hell is a lot more of them. Give me a break. The wealthy pay squat!!
And we aren't talking about the top 20% getting tax cuts, we're talking about the top 1 %!!!!!!!!!

Because he thinks tax cuts primarily for the wealthy is the answer to every problem. The richer rich people are, the more likely that magical beings float down from Fantasy Land & take care of all the problems in our country. He doesn't throw money at problems: he throws tax cuts at them & it has the same effect on our national debt burden as too much spending.
Honestly, I wonder why all the public good will after the 9/11 attacks was squadered, why our leaders didn't ask us to sacrifice anything in order to help hunt down terrorists, and instead told us to go shopping. And why is it that those that support the war aren't sending extra money to the government so that it can be fought better & our troops can have body armor? Why can't we measure patriotism on Tax Day, not just on Memorial Day or Flag Day? Just a curiosity.

First off: The wealthiest 20% of the people in this country account for 70% of the taxes. I don't see George Soros, a billionaire and founder of moveon.org offering to pay more taxes. If this was supposedly a war for oil, why does the US have a gas shortage?
When wealthier people's capital gains are being highly taxed in this country they are more likely to move the money overseas to avoid taxation. Which anyone with a decent accountant does. Secondly, anytime taxes are lowered in this country there is a drastic rise in the amount of $ given to charities. AND weathy people create jobs when they take home more money after taxes - so why not give them a break?
(example: while I'm not wealthy, the tax structure the past couple years allows me more 'take home' pay and i've hired a maid to come in every two weeks. I wouldn't have done have allowed myself this service without the money from the tax breaks.)

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median hourly wage dropped by 1.3 percent during 2005, after accounting for inflation. Those at the bottom of the ladder suffered the most--real hourly wages at the 10th percentile on the income scale (where 10 percent of workers make less and 90 percent make more) fell by 1.9 percent.
Most households are poorer today than at the beginning of the decade. Median household income (adjusted for inflation) fell every year between 1999 and 2004, ending up almost 4 percent lower.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported last week that private-sector employment increased by 194,000 in January--a seemingly solid performance, if lower than economists expected.
But only 7,000 of those net new jobs were in manufacturing, where wages and benefits are still the best. The big increases were in construction (a gain of 46,000) and especially services (a gain of 135,000), the lowest-wage sector of the economy.
The money that’s disappearing from working people’s paychecks is showing up on the bottom lines in Corporate America.
The already enormous gap between rich and poor in America has become a Grand Canyon. In every part of their lives, U.S. workers are having a harder time making ends meet--while the fantastic wealth of a tiny few grows even more obscene.

Actually, no that's not the reason for deficit at all. It encourages the circulation of currency, which stimulates the economy. Considering that there are very few "rich" in this country (those who fit in the tax brackets he gave cuts to), it really doesn't compare to the amount that would have been lost IF he had given cuts to lower class citizens.

All one needs to understand is that rich will ALWAYS help the rich and SCREW the poor. That's the nature of capitalism, steal from the poor and give to the rich. And capitalist like Bush, Cheney, Rove, and neo-cons in general, believe in social Darwinism (survival of the richest). They planned this war with this in mind. this way they get to make billions, and thin out the "surplus population" aat the same time, as E. Scrooge would put it.

Because Bush is an idiot and only got to be the president by lying, cheating, and the support of the rich. In order to pay them back, he needed to put something in place that would give them more money. Its kinda like if your friends did you a huge favor, wouldnt you want to do something nice to them? That in theory is just all fine and nice, but when you are the president and should be in charge of keeping things as good as they can be for everyone, putting your friends above everyone else is terrible.

Well, that all depends on how you want to interpret that. J.F.K (that's John Fitzgerald Kennedy, not John Freakedout Kerry) made tax cuts in 1963 which was technically during our involvement in Viet Nam. Although it was not a "war" we did have military troops involved in South Viet Nam which was at war with North Viet Nam.
The reasons stated for Kennedy's tax cuts are pretty similar to the reasons for Bush's.
Now will you please shut the f*** up?!

Iam not rich and I got it.
I know you liberals can not under stand this but.
If you cut taxes the people will have more cash in their pockets so they spend it. That makes more JOBS and puts more people to work so the government gets more back in taxes.
If you raze taxes people have less cash so they can not spend it. So jobs drop and the government get less.
The war and bush and reasons republics spending like mad is way were in a defect.
Republican are not always Conservative
