I know it hasn't released yet (as of 6/16/06), but I want opinions on it and if anyone has any insider information let me know of it works, if its reliable and if the performance is really as stellar as they promise. Thanks in advance!

To clarify, when I say "invest money" I do mean "spend money" - I don't by any means expect it to appreciate in value. Thanks for the response.

Definately, Nike and apple are 2 of the worlds leading brands, and best for quality. I would rather have 1 apple ipod than 50 normal mp3 players, and 1 pair of nike than 50 pairs of something else. If you like keeping fit then its well worth it. The Nike+ system is very reasonably priced especially compared to pedometers aof a decent quality.

You can also try entering the competition at http://www.nikeipod.co.uk, you can win a full kit here, anyone in the world can enter.

Finallly, go for it, I will be.

You're talking about a purchase not an investment. Electronic products typically go down in price as time wears on, so even from the depreciation standpoint you're better off waiting until it has been on the market for a year or more.
