To start the season, neither defense will be a good choice.

The Bears offense is much more dangerous with Grossman at the helm (look at what he did to them at the end of the season). The Packers will also not have much of an answer for Thomas Jones or Cedric Benson.

The Giants will be facing a more determined Colts offense. While Edgerrin james is no longer there, Dominic Rhodes (and perhaps Joseph Addai) should handle the running duties just as well. Harrison, Wayne, and Stokely with Clark at TE are also dangerous in the secondary.

It is a crapshoot between those two. I am leaning towards the Giants because of the hanging question mark over their running game. Rhodes is a good runner, but he doesn't show the blocking strength that Edgerrin displayed. Either way though, don't expect many points from those defenses.

I actually would start the Giants. Last year Manning had a slow start and the Giants are at home at night in a possibly cold and windy stadium. I am afraid that the Packers defense is in for a long bad season no matter who they play.

Start the Giants, all the Colts have right now is WR's (until their 1st round draft pick gets better and learns the NFL)

packers...their D would be plenty superior purely because of the fact of Hawk. he's a rookie yet he's purely that solid. Plus, the bears offense is purely terrible. on a solid day, they might properly suited 15 factors lol. i might stay faraway from D that performs against the colts or chiefs...or different intense scoring team. you're soliciting for hassle in case you do no longer...

You've already had your draft before the preseason? Good luck to you. Hope no one on your team gets hurt.

The Bears have improved offensively, but won't be a juggernaut right away. Go with the Cheeseheads.
