The sonogragher said she is pretty sure it's a girl. I am 19 weeks pregnant she said sometimes boys are late bloomers and if it is a boy his testicles could drop in the next couple of weeks. Has this late bloomer thing ever happened to anybody?

It happened to my little brother. We thought he was a girl up until a couple months before he was born. He's fine and everything, but don't worry about it. The longer your pregnancy goes, the eaisier it will be to tell. Congratulations!!

OK just an example when my mom had an ultrasound with my younger sibling they said that if the baby would turn a certain way they would be able to tell whatit would be and right then the baby turned. Excitedly they said It's a girl 99.9% a girl so my mom decorated the nursery pink had a pick frilly dress to bring the baby home in and the special day arrived and out came the baby ........................... A BOY!!! my mom cried but they after the shock she was thrilled.

If the doctor said it's a girl, then it's probably a girl. But don't ever be 100% sure because I know a family who was told they were having a girl so they went out and bought a whole bunch of girly clothes and it was a boy. (They couldn't return the outfits either because they took the tags off so they could wash the clothes before the baby came)

19 weeks is still early to tell. At your next sonogram, ask the nurse to show you the genital area specifically. If you see three little lines that are parallel to each other, it's a girl. I think it'd be more likely for a mistake if they say it's a boy, as you could be looking at the umbilical cord.

Yes. The Sonographer said my baby was "probably" going to be a girl; I just didn't feel right about that (I had a feeling it might be a boy), but even a late-pregnancy sex-check couldn't fully determine 100%... and poof!! A boy!

Go with mom's intuition!

normaly you get your aultra sound at 20 weeks and they can tell the sex. I would be pretty confident its a girl. I just had mine at 17 weeks and they saw boy parts then I went back at 21 weeks and they still saw boy parts so I would say its a girl

More than likely it's a girl, by 19 weeks they should see signs of male parts, but it's never a guarantee

There is a chance. It would usually depend on how far along you were when you had the sonogram. If you weren't too far along, they may not know. Good luck!

Yes, it could be wrong. If your Dr. will allow, ask for another or just wait until you are about 32 wks. and get a 4D Ultrasound done. They are really cool!
