Any place that accepts them as currency provided you have proper identification and the signatures match when you sign it in person with the person who accepts it.

Despite what you see on all the advertisments, travellers checks are not accepted every where. This is mainly due to the fact that many businesses are not familiar with them and simply prefer not to accept them than to contact those in the know.

I usually use my travellers checks for purchases at Wal Mart or Target or any big retailer since I usually have to buy stuff from them anyway. And although they accept them every time, most times they call the manager and there is a big hooplah about the whole thing. Sometimes I use a US$100 just to buy a gallon of OJ just to get the cash so I can go but stuff elsewhere.

Do not go to check cashing stores or banks since you will be charged a fee for cashing them.

Hope this helped

Just about anywhere. They are just like cash. Your local bank or credit union is a good place to go.

Hotel, bank, AMEX, pizza store, ... anywhere.

I have cashed traveler's checks all over the world -- mostly in hotels where they deal with these each day.

Anywhere that takes checks. A bank, restaurant, or grocery store as well as a hotel (if you are staying there).
