I don't know if dying your hair will effect your pregnancy, but I do know that it's probably a waste of money.
Because of hormones your hair texture and chemical make up have changed. Chances are your hair won't take the dye, if it does it will probably fade ina week or two, save the money and get a manicure or pedicure, that will probably make you feel a hundred times better than dying your hair and watching it fade in a week.

Your hair is NOT the same when your pregnant so there is no telling how it will turn out first of all and you need to consider what kind of dye ....there are natural dyes. But would it really hurt to wait 1 more month?? ANGEL

They say some dyes and seep into your skin and can cause defects! Now I don't think that has been completely proven, but i guess they say better to be safe than sorry!
You are also 8 months! That baby will be born soon, just hang in there!
Again, it is your choice, but me personally? I would wait!
And don't get depressed! I think all pregnant women are beautiful, and sure you are too!
Good Luck!

you cant dye your hair because your hormones change. at least That is what i have heard. like if you have brown hair and you dye it blond than your hair will be off, like an orange. plus the vapors that are let off from the dye are harmful to your baby. you have given up smoking and drinking for this long, you can do without the hair color.
As well my wife is pregnant and i have to say that i love it when she doesn't wear any makeup for two reasons. one, she looks really clean and allot of guys out there like girls without makeup, and two because she crys all the time she doesn't have the trails running down her face.

my grandmother would say to me it is not good to dye your hair when you are pregnant I don't know superstitions. I tried to dye my hair but the color would not hold my grandmother also Say's that the hair dye leaves a stain on the baby. I dint know but my son has a big well it looks like a big Birth mark. I guess i would never know. I would not try it again though. All up to you........

While there are those who advocate waiting till after you're done birthing and/or breast feeding (which could be a LONG time!), the actual amount of chemicals that are absorbed through the skin are minimal... ask your OB/GYN & go by what they say.
Personally, my OB/GYN said it was fine ... and I colored right up till the week before I delivered.
(BTW, its DYE not DIE)

Check with your doc he'll more than likely say it's OK, really the issue is the smell from the chemicals that can due you harm, not the skin absorbing the chemicals

Wait until the baby comes. Buy a wig if you absolutely can't wait.

Go ahead and dye it. I doubt if it will hurt you or the baby, from what I've read.
