most people trying to fit in the mold society carve out for them. That's unnatural and boring. Like lemmings one by one they jump and drown in the river of misery. Yet they still keep preaching others to do the same. Thank god !! some of us break out of the mold. Life at the least is interesting and humorous. We become center of the party not because we seek it. Because we are who we are. Different, bold and uncompromising. Being gay is not the issue. Dare to be different is!! God have a sense of humor....unrealise people are funny to watch.

My life was miserable while still trying to be something I wasn't to please the church, my parents, and society.

I can't say my sexuality has improved my life. For the sake of backing you up, I wish I could, but I can't. My sexuality has little to do with how good my life is at this point.

I can say that when I no longer focused on what other people thought I should be, I was able to focus on making a good life for myself.

In two weeks I will be celebrating my 16th anniversary with my boyfriend. We are very happy. We own a home free and clear. Own a car free and clear. Both have gainful employment, take fun vacations and basically enjoy life to the fullest. I could never have found this type of companionship when all I could do was try to not be gay.

What kind of spouse would I have been for a woman if I spent our entire life together trying not to want something other than her? How fair would that have been to her.

I'm so happy to be able to focus my love and devotion on my bf and have him do the same for me.

I'm certain that the reason we are so happy, content, and have such good lives is that our sexuality is only a very small portion of who and what we are. We have full and complete lives and we just happen to be gay.

Straight people seem to make more of an issue of our sexuality that we ever have.

I absolutly dont live an otersized life...actually before I came out I thought that i was ostersized...only because i couldnt be me...I was tired of hiding and turned the handle and stepped out the closet and I feel so much freer with myself..I have all kinds of friends from all walks of life and each and every one of them accept me. If people were more open minded then the world would be a better place...live and let live!!

I totally agree. I think that because of my sexuality, I have met and kept some the best friends that Icould ever ask for. It has helped make relationships with my family stronger as well. The fact that we as a family had to come to terms with many issues has made all of us really realize that even though we may not agree on all things, we certainly do respect one another for our differences.

I think that there are a lot of gay people that are miserable, and I am sure that there are a lot of straight people that are just as miserable. I dont think that being gay makes your life any easier or any harder than any other lifestyle. as gay people we defineatly have more to defend. but we are much more balanced of a people us gays. I think that gay people will in the end have more of a fulfilled happy life. this is what seperates us from them. We persue our heart, straight people have a tendency of hiding their heart. hope that helps good luck

I can tell you that our lives are anything but miserable. i have many friends in many places. many straight people have little understanding that no one is totally straight or gay. it is also untrue that black guys arent gay also. my friends are black, latino, trangendered, lesbian, gay& bi-sexual. most have very good jobs and some have children. we live our lives just as everyone else with love& hope in the future. the only people that I have encountered that were unhappy are straights that are insecure of their own sexuallity.

I'm happier right now, as an openly bisexual woman, then I have ever been in my life. I have a good job (out there), I'm going to go to grad school soon (out again), I have a wonderful family (out to them), and wonderful friends (again, all out to).

And most of all I have a wonderful and loving girl who I want to spend the rest of my life with. And I never would have had that if I was too scared to come out or be true with myself. Or even if I wasn't bi. I'm so glad that I am bi, because I get wake up next to her every morning. It's great to be me :-)
