I was at the mall the other day and every other child under the age of 17 was there and they all had their thongs hanging out of the back of their pants. Are these children wearing thongs because they are having sex, or think they are sexy, or is it a new comfort thing? It sorta makes me ill knowing they are showing off their underwear like that. Any answers as to why they do it?

Because their parents are not taking a daily role in their daughter's lives. They do not pay attention to the clothes their daughters are wearing and buying. Apparently it is supposed to be cool to have "Butt Cleavage" hanging out. Either that or their parents think its okay for their daughter to look like a teenage hobag. Both ways it is very sad and disturbing.

I started wearing thongs when I was 15 too. I hate how people are saying "she shouldn't be wearing pants that tight." Panties often have an elastic that goes around her leg which are sometimes thick and very visable through jeans. That used to embarass me like mad! Also, yoga pants. They are so comfortable and I could wear them everyday- but I need to wear a thong to avoid really gross-looking underwear lines. I would get her one. Just one though. She can wear it when she's wearing yoga pants or her thin jeans. She might not find it comfortable anyways! Especially with denim. I know it took me quite a while to get used to the feeling, but now I own at least 25. I'm soon to be 18, so I don't think that that is a big deal. I buy my own anyways. Also, I only wear them with yoga pants or tighter sweatpants. I don't wear them all the time, and they stay hidden in my pants. Who wants to see a whale tail anyways!!

Well, you are seeing young girls show their underwear out in public because they think that is the new "in" thing now. I do agree with you though, I find it disgusting that they cannot take the time to keep the clothes they have on them properly and correctly. As you should realize, young people, especially young girls like to portray what they see on t.v., in magazines and so on. They do feel it would make them more sexy and then give them the sense of rebelliousness they get from it.

I think i wore one at 15, but i was always concious about having my under wear stick out! I hate that! I never let my underwear stick out! I wore them because pants now adays don't really acommodate other underwear unless you want lines!
I only wore them with certain pants until i found boy shorts! I fell in love!
I also get very sick with wearing thongs! I had a massive bladder infection that can lead to kidneys and other very serious things! SO i decided to switch!
I think they do it because they think it's cool! And think about it, 15 year old boys?! Do you think they like it?! OF COURSE they do! But it is still sick they show it off!

yeah pretty much EVERYONE wears them.. and i think that's really weird
and how can they be COMFORTABLE? are you KIDDING ME? it's like a PERManent wedgie, so in that way wouldn't regular underwear be more comfy?
But i guess that unless you want underwear lines, you need to wear them..
Nevertheless, there is no need for girls to have their thongs hanging out of their pants-- that's just inappropriate..

Thongs are now a common thing, they are also comfortable..think about it when you wear regular underwear doesn't it give you a wedgie

they're trying to get sexual attention from boys in the area. It doesnt say they're having sex but it says that theyd like to or that they think its sexy. Even my 39 yr old mom wheres one. Which is actually kinda creepy.

Well everybody iz diff & thinkz of thongs diff...But imma virgin & i ain't havin sex nd sum ppl do think its sexii...wen i was bout 14 er 15 me nd mi friendz did dat because guys liked it nd we thought it was sexii & cool but it got old so we cover dat stuff up but wen we sit down or bend ova nd it hangs out we don't go all like "omg mi thongs showin" cuz it ain't a big deal...& 4 sum ppl they mite not like da feelin of havin one but 4 me i 4get its there cuz it don bother me!

I wear thongs and I am 13...I don't let them hang out or anything! I wear them cuz there comforable and I wear really tight jeans so you don't have to worry about pantie lines!

ok for one thing thongs are more comfortable (no wedgie like grannie panties give u) and u dont have a panty line... that was my biggest concern so i stopped wearing grannie panties in public... bit they shouldnt have their thongs hanging out... unless it was my accident (bending down to grab something) ive been wearing thongs since i was 13... now i hardly wear them other things...
