Eric Gregg died earlier this month. He was an enormous man (400 lbs) with an enormous strike zone and a huge heart as well. The umps are wearing the bands to honor him.

MLB approved umpires to wear the wristbands in honor of Gregg early last week.

To honor umpire Eric Gregg. He died of a stroke early this June.
He was the guy with the enormous strike zone.

well a about a week ago a ump died of i want to say a heart attack but might have been cancer but that is probaly why
