I think that depends on many things such as the nature of the relationship between the two, the attitudes each have about sex based on thier upbringing, their ages.
I do think that sex often has a higher emotional component for women than it does for men.
Some men have a harder time connecting love and sex while some women think that if a man has sex with them he will not leave them.
However, in a mutally loving and committed relationship sex can be an expression of love and I think that is equally gratifying for both the man and the woman.

I think it's certainly true that men want sex more than women. You might be interested to know about Tieresias, a seer who plays a significant role in many Greek myths and dramas.
Tieresias, born a man, encountered two snakes mating. He beat them with a stick, and was somehow transformed into a woman for this act. Unable to reverse the process, he was forced to live life as a female. He also experienced intercourse. This state persisted until he finally found the same snakes mating once again, struck them, and reverted to his original male form.
Zeus and Hera, the King and Queen of the Gods, were having an argument on this very topic. To settle their bickering, they summoned Tieresias, who roundly declared that sex was (something like) "a thousand times better" for women than men.
Whereupon Hera blinded him in a rage. In one of the few instances of Zeus being a team player, Zeus gave Tieresias the ability to see the future instead. At that, Tieresias staggered off to play his role in broadcasting doom and gloom.
The real question: why was Hera so angry? Some people have claimed that she blinded Tieresias for lying. Others have claimed that she was embarassed by the truth, and had to lash out. Maybe this will help you decide.

I know most women have the potential to have more intense orgasms then men, once all the social, moral, and physical beauty and body image pressures are taken away, and she simply relaxes and allows her body to feel the sensations. I think men are more driven by hormones ... a.k.a "THE NEED TO BREED". Conclusion ... we both enjoy sex equally yet in different ways for different reasons.

Men. They get to..ya know.. right away it's a physical pleasure. But for women it's more emotional and unless their emotional needs are met during "the process" they wont enjoy it as much as the man. (They will probably fake it.)
