If there were ever an idea that would increase illegal immigration, this is a huge one. They have already said that it will make it easier for Mexican to be shipped to the U.S. People can slip into the country more easily.
Rick Perry (Texas Gov.) is pouring tons of money into the project.

First time for me, but I personally don't trust the site much. If it actually linked to the Department of Transportation showing they are planning it, I'd believe it as a reputable source, but I can buy a website domain, and set up a page like that and say space aliens live next door to my house and it can all be a lie.
Why do we need it anyway? We already have freeways that go from Mexico into Canada, and have the other countries respective highways connect to them.

The problem is, those roads already exist and they're not "NAFTA highways," whatever the hell that means... they're just regular interstates. Texas IS currently doing a major overhaul of the I-35, but what state isn't doing a lot of road work? It's a lot of BS surrounding a kernel of truth.

Its not true. its just propaganda by the people who want to put up walls to keep anyone not already in the states from getting there. Look at the source. its put out by the same people who patrol the border with mexico, killing illegal immigrants. by the way, as a Canadian, where the press is a little more free than in the states, it is false, or we would have heard of it, and winnipeg is not set up for tha amount of trade that would be involved

LOL yes it's hilarious. Your president has found yet another way of screwing over the american taxpayer. Ships unload in Mexico and then travel through the USA without paying a dime of duty or excise tax and straight on up to Canada where it can be shipped elsewhere or packaged and sold to US distributors and retailers.
Brilliant!
Your world record deficit will soon seem small in comparison to what's coming.
Enjoy the resulting depression folks...

Great. Is bush planning on expanding the US, or sacrificing the western half of it in bio-chemical or nuclear war? Something fishy is afoot. I don't trust the shrub anymore.

Uhhhh, I'd be wary about the source. Ask CNN or one of the other big news orgs if they have heard of this.
