To me, this is completely unbelievable. I know all babies are different...some move less than others...but with my two babies, they used to move so much that you could actually SEE my stomach moving from the outside.

It is called denial. The girl can't face the fact she is pregnant so she convinces herself that it isn't real and she really believes it so is truly shocked when she gives birth.
Did you know a woman can also convince herself that she IS pregnant? She will even get all the symptoms and can actually go through labor? Yet there never was a baby? It is called pseudocyesis or false pregnancy.
The mind is capable of so many things.

I agree I knew very early that I was pregnant, feeling the baby(s) move and all! It may be possible, women claim it all the time but who knows? Is there any medical research on it? I know a woman that had 3 kids and never knew she was in labor any of the three times!

It's actually possible for this to happen. My sister's friend didn't know she was pregant until around 8 months into it. Sometimes the baby doesn't move much, and sometimes a woman's stomach just doesn't grow tremendously with the pregnancy either.

Now this may be horrible to say, BUT there is a girl that I went to school with who was extremely over weight and she claims that she had no idea that she was pregnant. I guess the night that she went into labor, she thought that it was a gallbladder attack.
I guess that it could happen, depending on the situation.

Yes, there are cases of women not knowing until they delivered. Typically they are larger, heavy set women.
At 15... I'm sure your friends sister was scared and didn't want to tell anyone. Then again, maybe she has a very abnormal cycle.

I find it hard to believe but it seems to happen alot. I was much the same as you, with my second child, I didn't know I was pregnant until I was 5 months. My period got a bit lighter but it still came each month.

It's possible! If your periods are irregular, you might not notice the lack thereof. It's also possible that the way the baby was lying inside of her that there were very few movements and those there were, she didn't notice. I personally don't think that anyone I know would ignore those symptoms, but it's possible!
