one example (not the only possibility) is when the file path is incapable of being created, such as z:\windows\system\... Because z drive doesn't exist, a path to that drive cannot exist either, therefore it is invalid, and trying to access the files at such a path would result in a message saying Invalid Files Path.

U cant delete windows files that way. To reinstall ur xp, u need to format ur complete C drive. Simply insert ur windows xp disk, reboot ur system, boot the disc and follow the setup to install xp by selecting format C drive and install xp on it. P.S - "program files" is a folder that stores installed applications. Windows system files r stored in de "windows" folder in C drive, better not touch them.

if you used to use a file for some program then you moved or deleted the file like c:windows/main/pic.xm. it will tell you "invalid file path".
